Castleton Artisan Crackers

In Vermont, we’re known for our small-scale food producers, entrepreneurs and artisans dedicated to their craft. The result is a statewide collection of quality goods that all seem to have a story. Whitney Lamy started making crackers at her kitchen in Castleton, bringing them to the Rutland farmers’ market where people began craving the hearty and buttery crackers. Still today, the dough is rolled out into sheets, then baked, and because they’re hand-cracked, these flatbread-like crisps achieve shapes entirely their own. Perfect for nibbling, spreading, dipping or sandwiching slices of Vermont Cheddar, it won’t be hard to finish the whole box!
