J R Liggetts Shampoo Bar

With No Fuss, No Muss, These All-Natural Shampoo Bar Formulas Raise the Bar When It Comes to Washing Your Hair

Beautiful hair that looks shiny, healthy, and clean is yours with these old-fashioned shampoo bars. Based on a recipe for “hair soap” found tucked inside an old New England cookbook, these bar soaps are some of the most natural and effective shampoos around. For over 30 years, JR Ligget has created these pure soaps with a nourishing blend of oils—olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, sunflower oil, and palm kernel oil, and vitamin E oil—combined with essential oils to create formulas customized to meet specific hair needs. All the formulas lather up quickly, clean well, and rinse out easily, leaving behind healthy, beautiful, and clean hair. And because they are made without harsh detergents, they won’t strip your hair of beneficial oils. For this reason, most people do not need a conditioner! These bars are great for travel too, as they don’t count toward your liquid quota!

• Original Formula: All-purpose bar—great for all hair types. Light rose scent.
• Virgin Coconut & Argan Oil Formula: Hydrating bar enriched with Argan Oil—great for dry, tangled, flyaway hair and for softening and moisturizing uncontrollable, curly, unmanageable hair. It restores smoothness, strengthens, and gives hair luster and shine. Light coconut scent.
• Herbal Formula: All-purpose bar—great for all hair types. With three essential oils: rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood. Rosemary soothes dry, itchy scalps; stimulates blood flow, and is believed to support normal hair growth, reduce hair loss, and fend off grays. Lavender has antiseptic and anti-fungal properties and is good for treating eczema. Cedarwood has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, as well as astringent properties. Refreshing, enchanting, calming herbal scent.
• Jojoba & Peppermint Formula: Therapeutic bar—great for those experiencing hair loss, dandruff, and oily hair. Jojoba oil naturally dissolves excess sebum, which helps to keep hair follicles healthy. It also closely resembles natural hair oils, so your body doesn’t overproduce oil to keep hair and scalp moisturized. When your scalp is in balance, dandruff is also kept in check. Peppermint invigorates the scalp and lends a fresh fragrance to this nourishing bar.
• Moisturizing Formula: Moisture-drenching bar—great for dry, damaged hair, especially color-treated, permed, or straightened hair. A combination of mango butter, aloe vera, and almond oil helps to restore moisture to both the hair and scalp. Frizziness is tamed, split ends smooth, and hair looks shiny and feels manageable. Mild, soothing floral fragrance.
• Tea Tree & Hemp Oil Formula: Balancing bar—great for those with dermatitis, itchy scalp conditions, damaged hair, and hair that looks dull and lifeless. Tea tree oil has antiseptic and antibacterial properties to help tame flaky scalps and encourage healthy hair growth. Hemp oil contains a combination of nourishing essential fatty acids. Almond oil helps to rejuvenate lifeless hair, add shine to dull hair, smooth split ends, and protect against UV rays. Light tea tree oil scent.
